⚠️ Dubble eBikes are set up to comply with NSW electric bike regulations, with a continuous rated power of 500W and a top assisted speed of 25 km/h. This qualifies them for use on public roads, shared paths, and bike lanes under EPAC (Electrically Power Assisted Cycle) rules.
Each bike includes a throttle isolator switch, which is off by default when first powered on. Throttle use is for private property only and must remain disabled in public.
Speed unlock options, if available, are intended only for off-road or private use. Public use of the bike outside its legal configuration is not permitted and may impact insurance or legal liability.
Electric bike laws differ by state. In some areas, only 250W continuous output is allowed. It’s your responsibility to ensure your use complies with local road laws.

What are the laws on electric bikes in Australia?
Yes, both the Dubble Sumo eBike and Shorty eBike are legally classified as electrically power-assisted bicycles (EPACs) in Australia. To be road legal without requiring registration or a licence, they meet the following criteria:
Motor Power: Maximum of 500 watts continuous rated output.
Speed Restrictions:
- Motor assistance gradually decreases once the bike’s speed exceeds 6 km/h.
- Motor cuts off completely when the bike reaches 25 km/h, or when the rider stops pedalling and speed exceeds 6 km/h.
These rules allow you to ride your Dubble eBike on bike paths, shared lanes, and roads without any additional registration or licence requirements.
