Can the Dubble eBike really fit two riders comfortably?
Can the Dubble eBike really fit two riders comfortably?
Yes! Both the Sumo and Shorty eBikes are engineered to comfortably carry two adults. No squeezing, no awkward rides — just smooth, shared adventures.
Are Dubble bikes street legal?
Are Dubble bikes street legal?
Dubble bikes are built to comply, in our opinion, with current NSW EPAC legislation, which permits a maximum continued rated power of 500 watts and a top assisted speed of 25 km/h for use on public roads and paths.
All Dubble bikes include an unlock feature intended strictly for private property use. Throttles must be isolated in public areas and are only for use on private property. Riding in an unlocked mode or using a throttle on public roads may be unlawful and is the rider’s responsibility.
Be sure to check your local laws and always ride responsibly.
What are the laws on electric bikes in Australia?
What are the laws on electric bikes in Australia?
All Dubble Bikes models feature a maximum continuous power of 500 watts at 25 km/h and can support up to 180 kg. We at Dubble Bikes understand this to meets NSW EPAC standards. The power output can be further restricted by limiting speed if needed. Throttles are intended for private property use only and should be disabled in public spaces. E-bike regulations differ slightly by state, so always review local laws regarding use on roads, footpaths, shared pathways, bike lanes, or cycling paths.
In February 2023, the NSW Minister for Metropolitan Roads amended the Road Transport Act 2013, increasing the permitted e-bike motor power on public roads from 250 watts to 500 watts under the Road Transport Legislation Amendment (Electric Skateboards and Bicycles) Regulation 2023.
